Vivian Nguyen is a graduate student studying political science at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, where she also received her bachelor’s degree in environmental studies. Her focus is public policy concerning climate and water security. She is also interested in media, political psychology and environmental justice. At DWFI, Vivian is working on the water security and entrepreneurship report. She is also a graduate assistant at the UNL Office of Sustainability.
Vivian was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska but has lived all over the country working on natural resources projects with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in Massachusetts, the U.S. Forest Service in Colorado, The Nature Conservancy in Arizona and the University of Montana. In her free time, Vivian enjoys traveling, hiking, backpacking, kayaking, birding and napping in her hammock.
